All's Clear...Sigh of Relief

Saturday, February 19, 2011

I got the results of my cervical spine MRI yesterday and everything checks out fine! My neck surgeon (cervical spine surgery 3 yrs ago) said everything looks great, no new issues, my neck is in great shape!

I also had my shoulder x-rayed last week and that showed that besides some arthritis (which I already knew) everything is ok.

Everything was checked out because of a lot of pain I was experiencing for several weeks after a fall on the ice in Jan.

Needless to say I am very relieved to get the news. Though the past couple weeks things did start feeling a lot better and I was pretty sure in the end things would be ok, a few weeks back I was not so sure.

So now it's smooth sailing to my knee replacement in three weeks...and I will be riding my bike, exercising, eating right and continuing to be in the best health I can in preparation!

What a relief to know you didn't seriously injure anything! I'm hoping to avoid the possibility of a knee replacement myself...and one of the best ways for me to do that is to work hard at getting rid of some weight and strengthening the muscles and ligaments!

Hooray Scott - Happy to hear the doc has given you a emoticon report. Keep us updated on the knee replacement. I've had several family members and friends who have had successful knee replacements. Some have said the replacement gave them their life again.
