Good Day, Good Week

Great workouts today! I had almost forgotten about my 100 day challenge I started back in January,lol...as of today I have completed 47 days out of 100. That kind of blew my mind. I have exercised consistently and at least 30 min. daily for 47 days in a row, almost halfway there. The funny thing is I'm just doing it now, not really to not break the streak...definitely progress for my mindset.
I'm licking a wound today about not getting to do a 5k race tomorrow I'd been counting on since I finished the same one last year. It is just completely out of our budget limitations right now. I thought it was going to workout and had been planning...but the arctic blast of the previous 2 weeks ran utilities higher than usual so c'est la vie. There are others coming up that are more important to me and hopefully they will pan out.
Had a good treadmill workout today...which was a shame considering the beautiful weather, but my kiddoes were out of school for the holiday so it was a must. They were so good to call a truce for the entire hour and let me do my thing....this is NOT the norm,lol. I did incline intervals and added 5 minutes more to the high intensity part I have been doing. I was a sweaty mess but it felt great! Got my C2KMB workout "A" in tonight and really worked hard at keeping a quick pace between exercise sets and literally sprinted back and forth from my wall sits to my modified planks...whew! I am loving doing a variety of different things and feel like my program is so more well rounded now....it is nice to be doing more than just walking and the inches coming off are proof this is working well for me....I snuck a peek with the tape today...and it was realllly motivating to say the least. Can't wait to sum it all up at month's end...love you Carolyn!
A surprise to me has been what yoga is doing for me. It is one of the more difficult things I have tried to do....I have always tried to "stretch" a little, but nothing like I should mainly because it was hard and it hurt....and it was hard. After integrating this into my week whenever I can....things that hurt pretty bad before,i.e. hips, back, are drastically less painful and I am truly gaining flexibility where before I have always had the range of motion of a long seasoned 2 x 4. In turn I have noticed marked improvements in the way my body performs all the other tasks I ask of it....everything just moves easier. It's a good feeling.
So closing out another good day...good week for that matter...completely on track with good nutrition and right on plan with my workouts and the new feeling that there is very, very little out there that could come between me and my goals....the feeling that nothing will stop me now. Me likey.
