Februrary has been the month where people are noticing that I've lost weight! It's been wonderful! (And, it only took about 23 pounds for people to notice...) With the comments, I've been able to spread my love of running & Spark People. So, I thought I'd record the positive remarks I've been hearing.
(Me on February 15th at 25 pounds lost)
Lisa (last week) - "Have you lost weight? I thought so before, but now I can definitely tell."
Beverly (same day last week) - "You've lost a LOT of weight. How have you done it?" (so, I told her about the Spark & Couch to 5K & wrote down the website)
Judith (at church Sunday) - "My husband says you're wasting away before our eyes!" (OK... so 'wasting away' isn't the look I was going for, but for a GUY to notice! WooHoo!)
Unknown person at daughter's AHG meeting after my run yesterday - "Did you dump that water bottle on your head?"
So, this wasn't about weight loss but my sweat, but I found it very funny! And, yes I was SWEATY! I had an incredible 4 mile run and it was in the low 70's. I was WET & it was kind of embarrassing, though funny.
Carlotta (at AHG last night - she's new to group & I haven't seen her in about 2 years) - "You looked fine before, but you look so FIT now! How did you start running?" Yep... I told her about SP and C25K (couch to 5K).
Oh!!! One last funny one... my swim coach is also my friend & neighbor for the past 14 years. We were at class Wednesday night and a new triathlete, a guy, joined our group. She told him that I'd started running & swimming this past summer and had since lost "about 50 or 60 pounds."
(I had to correct her and tell her it was 25, but I'm glad she thinks it is such a drastic change! I DO look different!)
