happy again

Wednesday, February 16, 2011

I'm happy again. the ex has left me alone, i expected him to start his crap again when he got paid yesterday but not one text or phone call. whoooooooooooo hoooooooooooo. i'm so glad that this time he didnt carry it all on for months and months, i got off pretty lightly for my mistake.

now i just need to get my eating at night under control and start counting calories again, maybe i will start today. i'm ok in the day. keeping myself busy at the shop, i took grapes on monday and sandwiches yesterday, gonna go for the grapes again today, its when i get home thats the problem, snacks when we get in while i'm cooking tea, then snacks again later, i when to bed earlier last night to stop myself eating more.

the new shop is open, no customers yet, but it will take time to build it up, we sell wedding accessories and wedding gifts. in the new shop we have noticed that there is so much more cars driving past, its almost constant and in rush hour they are nearly parked outside, so we are getting seen by a lot more people, fingers crossed that this time we will make some money!.

I'm back to my old happy self again, just have to go that extra step and count calories and cut down on portion sizes and do a little more exercise.

i just want to say thank you for all your support on my blogs that you guys give me, its wonderful. thank you thank you. Mwah!.

happy, optimistic, but still lazy

I am happy that things are smoothing out for you which is great!
The business will soon be pulling people in once word gets around.
As for snacks and the problems with temptation, I personally wouldn't buy them in and yes, for a few days it hurts when you open cupboard doors looking for your usual fix to find nothing, but hey! If it's not there you can't cheat, I find it the best way, just don't put temptation in front of yourself.
Dell has a good idea about the lighter evenings and getting out and walking, great exercise!
Good luck Jane!

If you know you are going to snack whilst preparing tea why not have a healthier snack all ready and waiting for yourself? I often peel and chop up a raw carrot or celery sticks to chomp on while i am preparing and cooking our evening meal.

I know I don't need that snack but at least it is a bit of a better choice of snack than eg crisps or other higher fat/ sugar foods.

I agree with what Dell has said and I'm also really pleased that you are feeling more up beat.

    Welcome back Jane.

You need to settle to just one thing, don't take on too much as you're already busy. Pick just one aspect of the diet and concentrate on it and make it a habit. i.e. walk a mile every lunch time. Start by building up your exercise routine before concentrating on diet. The light night will be back soon then you can walk in the evenings, during snack time.
