Still Determined

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

I haven't been on Spark for almost a month! I have still been working on me though. Things have been really busy with my internship and kids, etc. Normally I would have given up by now and just figured it wasn't a good time. But not this time! I haven't been eating as good and working out as much, but I have been doing enough to maintain my weight loss. I am ready to pick up the pace again. I am going to try to get my husband to do it with me. I could use the support at home--and the competition!

Just pick up where you left off and keep at it! At some point it will become habit. Sometimes it is a harder task to figure out what works for us in way of motivation than anything. However - if you can do that - you have a perfect game plan.

Try being the one to suggest healthful activities. Okay kids, let's go for a walk. Or, honey - let's go for a romantic stroll around the neighborhood. You will all find you enjoy the time you spend together - it will be worth it. You don't always have to announce "let's exercise" - just get out there and show them how fun it is!

I know it is winter - but during the warmer months - we go walking (and pushing the baby) while the older kids ride their bikes in front of us / or roller skate / or walk and run. We end up having a great time - the kids don't realize they are exercising and dh and I get a moment to actually talk to one another without being distracted 100 different ways.

Here's hoping you find what works for you - and you enjoy it. I know you can!
