Scale Issues!

Tuesday, February 15, 2011

Needed to vent about my scale drama. I'm getting tired of not being able to wear any of my clothes. I'm getting tired of t-shirts and loose pants.

Wow. It's been a long time since I checked in on you to see how you were doing. I'm SO sorry to hear about the scale issue. Hopefully you will get some good advice on what scale to buy so that you can buy a decent scale and have the correctness of your weigh-ins be just one less thing to stress you out.

I always put my current weight on my ticker, including when I gain weight. I usually only weigh-in either every month or every few weeks if I feel like I am gaining or losing much. I find it easier to be honest with myself up front and put the higher number if I've gained; that way when I lose the weight, Spark honestly congratulates me. Otherwise you can gain and lose and gain and lose and your ticker never budges and really you are just playing a game with yourself instead of facing reality.

Regarding the number on the scale with regards to how your clothes fit: if you not only do cardio but also strength training or resistance workouts you will gain muscle which burns calories and also makes your body fit much better into your clothes regardless of your weight now or size. Tone, tone, tone even if you have not reached your goal weight yet. It's all about how YOU FEEL, how you feel you look. Although I am still 30 lbs overweight, I am much more fit now that I am doing strength training and it makes a difference in how I look and feel in my clothes. I can feel my body better even though I am still not wearing the clothes I want to be wearing.

Hang in there, babe. You're gonna make it. Everybody needs time to vent somedays.

Here's wishing you a better tomorrow,

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself you need more self control that is hard to do it takes time. They say you should used the same scale all the time because each scale is created different. But just hang in there and try to develop better eating habits but, it takes time. You can do it!!!
