So far I have had a great day today! It helped that when I let the dog out this morning it was nice and warm...AND sunny!
Went to take my first art history exam and got an 'A'! Woo-Hoo!
Then came back to get my dog and took him to his favorite walking spot- the gorgeous Theo Roosevelt Island. It was so gorgeous out and lots of lovers walking and holding hands and happy smiling people.
Granted, I did have one of the most embarrassing moments of my life! There is a sort of moat that goes around the monument and my dog decided to jump in! The wall is so high that he couldnt even get his paws to the top, so yes, I had to jump in. so I lifted my 50lb guy up and on top of the wall, then wondered how in the world I was going to get back up.
the wall height is between my chest and shoulders and I do not have a ton of upper body strength. Oh dear. So I turned my back to the wall and put my hands up (like a backward push-up) and lifted as far as I could. Then I got stuck. So I had to sort of get my shoulders on the top and throw my legs over so that I did a sort of back somersault! Holy moly the people that were there were cracking up at me!
One couple did promise that I will not see myself on the internet tonight, hoping the other couple was mature enough to not think about it!
Needless to say, it did hurt my back and my shoulders are a little sore, but it was FUN!
I guess the good news is that he didnt jump down and run to pull me down on to my face in the moat:-)
Hope you are all having a great Monday!
