Processed foods (shelf stable): can goods (corn, green beans, peas, spinach, collard greens) whole wheat elbows noodles, white and brown rice, liptop noodle and rice side dishes, ragu creamy pasta sauces, cream of celery, cream of mushroom, soups, hamburger helpers, zanterans, box mac and cheese, Italian bread crumbs.


Frozen foods: Volia frozen meals, frozen spinach, peas, corn, turkey burgers, turkey wings, chicken wings, talpia, and salmon


Condiments (sugar, salt, ketchup, mayonnaise, hot sauce, etc.): spendia, salt, miracle whip, ketchup, hot sauce, tater sauce, balsamic vinegarette salad dressing, Italian salad dressing, ranch salad dressing, relish, bbq sauce, lemon pepper marinate, chocolate sauces, pickles and catina salad dressing.

Energized and most importantly not heavy

Do you think this was a healthy thing to consume? Why or why not?

The GNC shake may not have been a good choice. Itís a good it suppose to be a meal supplement but I would have been better eating a piece of toast. The orange was a good choice, you really canít go wrong with fruit and for most people eating more fruits and veggies are ideal when attempting to meet the Dietary Guidelines. (p.36)

Mid Snack

2 hours after my workout, I am normally hungry this is a quick meal.

Full and content

Do you think this was a healthy thing to consume? Why or why not?

Oatmeal is normally a good choice for grains, milk is something that I learned that I had to incorporate and is also a in conjunction of attempting to eat the foods suggested on MyPyramid. And as stated before I donít think I could go wrong with adding a fruit to the meal. (p 38-39)

I was really in the mood for salmon so I decide to place it on a bed of lettuce and tomatoes and cucumbers.

It was lunch time so I was reading up on my soaps.

Energized.


Do you think this was a healthy thing to consume? Why or why not?

This was a great meal! I got to get my greens in (my salad) and I added Salmon which is a good source of vitamin B (p .263)

I normally try to fit a snack it before dinner. This stops be from picking up fast foods on my way home from work.

Yogurt contains probiotics (p.66) which help aid in the GI tract digestion process.

I didnít cook dinner, my fiancť cooked before I got home, so I ate whatever he made.

Random discussions about our day, work and things we need to accomplish

Heavy

Do you think this was a healthy thing to consume? Why or why not?
The turkey was a good source of protein. The green beans were a healthy choice, however the mac and cheese was something I could have done without. However the good part was the noodles were whole wheat. So I guess all in all it was a good meal. (p 214-217)

No this was not healthy, I could have went for the grapes but I decided aganist it.
