Couch 2 5k

Eee... did the first entry on the 'Couch 2 5k' program... jog for 1 min, walk for 2. Actually, I was supposed to walk for 1 1/2 mins, but I needed the extra 30 seconds. :-)
It was so hard... I wasn't able to do the intervals for the entire time, because at the halfway point I got a terrible shinsplint in my left leg. So, I only got one more jogging interval in after that, and gimped home. Not sure if it's me or the shoes, or both. I will ask my gym trainer next week.

I need this cardio so bad... I've told myself for so many years that I still hated running, but I am truthfully not entirely sure if that's the case. I've been procrastinating really bad about doing this C25K thing, but I need to try. What if I *like* running and I've been avoiding it all these years? My trainer would be so elated... :-)
