The Weekend Has Become a Weakness

In logging my food and exercise I notice I go down for a few days, and then there are spikes. Very noticable spikes. What gives? Turns out those days are all on the weekends. So this weekend, I'm going to move in the right directions. This isn't a cure, but a baby step. Every Saturday night I go to church and then out to dinner. We hit the best Pizza joint in Akron (Louigi's). Well this weekend, no bread, and plain pizza instead of pepperoni. Not a great choice but a better choice. I also need to get workouts done in the morning. If I wait to do them in the afternoon they don't happen.
I have a lot of stress right now, and I need to find a new way of handling it. I use to go for walks, but when its 2 degrees outside, thats not an option. Maybe reading a book. Something to take my mind off of things...

    Weekends are definitely harder. I have no trouble during the week. I bring my food, am chained to a chair in front of a computer. On the weekends I like to live it up, have a few glasses of wine or beer or better yet both. Wowie! how those calories add up. I am working on burning more calories on the weekend which will be a lot easier when spring comes and
gardening chores beckon and I am dedicated to honestly recording all intake of calories so I can see where all this chubbyness comes from. Good luck. I think you can have pizza, just a little though. All it is is bread and cheese with some tomato sauce, it it not poison.

    Hi Dave! Good to see you here! I actually find weekends NOT that difficult because I am SOOOOO busy! I don't find the time to eat - which is something I can't believe I am saying. However, I sure make up for that lost time during the week while sitting at my desk. I guess in reality it is a stress thing because I am incredibly unhappy at my job. Maybe that's why the weekends go well for me - because I am happy to NOT be at work. Wishing you the best! Glad you are back to podcasting!

    You sure give yourself a weekly challenge--Luigi's? Dang! I find the weekends are hardest t00--mostly because of socializing and "obligation eating"--like birthday cake. Tomorrow is my niece's baby shower, so I will be challenged again.

    I agree weekends are harder to stick with a plan. Maybe instead of pizza, you could go for the salad? Good Luck.
