A useful motivational trick...

Friday, February 11, 2011

It's been several weeks since I've been on this Sparkpeople website, I've been so busy with new clients. Some days I've not even had time to get to the gym, so I've been doing more home workouts.

However, if you've had a long day and get back home tired, it's easy to skip that workout you promised yourself you would do, right?

So what I do is to plan in advance what I'm going to do when I get home in the evening, and set everything up in such a way that it encourages me to work out.

Before I leave the flat, I prepare my food for the evening, so it's ready in the fridge for when I return.

I also lay out my exercise equipment in the middle of my lounge, all ready for my return, so when I get in, there it is waiting for me to work out there and then. Everything is geared up for my workout, and it makes it so much easier and more fun to dive in and get it done.

Try it and tell me if it worked for you!

As personal trainers with busy schedules, the first thing to go is our workouts. I schedule my exericse like its a part of my job. I pencil in my workout time and what exercise I have planned in my client schedule book. I know that I have to walk the walk, not just talk the talk. Our bodies have to be our billboards.
I plan all of my meals ahead of time. I do batch cooking on the weekend. During my busy week, I don't have to think about what I'm going to eat~its already made.
Sounds like you have a good plan. Have a great day:)

Great Idea - Being prepared is half the battle, the other half is motivation.
