Disappointed in what Oprah has done to Fit TV.

Wednesday, February 09, 2011

I don't know if people are aware, but Oprah has her own channel now, OWN. This used to be the Discovery Health channel. Discovery has changed Fit TV (which had great exercise shows) to Discovery Fitness and Health. This means that they have changed the programming of Fit TV to 2 hours of exercise shows early in the morning and the rest of the day consists of some health shows, but mostly reality TV. THIS IS AWFUL!

We are constantly told how the American Public doesn't workout enough. Then this network takes the one channel that consistently delivered quality workouts and ruins it. I am disgusted.

Personally, I'd be more inclined to point the finger @ Discovery and not so much @ OW......

Isn't there some way to complain to the folks @ Discovery about this? I mean, how much of a stretch could it be to simply remove an hour or two of the informational programming - from what I've seen, many of them are repeats, anyhow.....

Sheesh - go figure.....

I just may have to try my "On Demand" cable option - I think I saw something from Leslie Sansone - will definitely need to follow through on that...... emoticon

Grrrrr I hadn't seen that yet. Really disappointed. I loved being able to turn on Fit TV at most anytime and getting new exercise challenges. Thanks for the info.

So that's why there weren't as many workout shows on FitTV. I was wondering about that because I wanted to DVR some of them. Well that sucks!
