Intervals on a Treadmill - 17 Weeks until the Marathon

Okay so I hate interval training and speed work, but if you are going to train for a marathon it is a necessary evil. I am a Jeff Galloway fan and qualified for Boston back in 1996 using his method. I promised myself I would train consistently and add a little speed, so today was the day.
Of course there was mucho snow on the ground and temps were low, so I had to resort to the treadmill.
The beauty about the treadmill is CONSISTENCY.
The Plan 1 minute walk at 4.5mph pace, 2 minutes at 5.2 mph pace, 3 minutes at 6.2 mph pace and start all over again until four miles were complete.
With the help of my I-pod, I got it done and was pretty jazzed when I finished.
Hmmm...I wonder if it was all those military guys staring at the "crazy" woman that motivated me more!
