How I got started

I think I am making progress. I started out at 180 lbs. I started counting calories and getting more active on January 12th. i started off with logging small stuff like playing with my kids, heavy cleaning and shoveling snow. I did Jillian Michaels 30 Day shred for 10 days and got sick of it. I just hate staring at the TV to work out. At that time, I set up my Gazelle that I had bought about 5 years ago and started with doing 30 minutes. Gradually I worked my way up to 100-110 minutes a day and burning 500 + calories a day. I have been eating the required amount of 1200-1600/day and actually feeling great. I weigh myself every day but only log it when it is less than the previous amount. Yesterday i weighed in at 175.2. So in almost 4 weeks I have lost almost 5 pounds. Not too bad! I feel like I look different, but so far, nobody has noticed anything but me disappearing to the basement!

    People don't say things bc they are scared to offend you. You feel great! You know you are losing, that's all that matters!! One day, people will see you and say, "OMG! You look amazing! What have you been doing?!" Way to go on the loss!! You should be proud and hold your head up high! Keep going, people will notice and finally say something. Just wait! =)
