Here we are once again, another stormy weekend in the Maritimes. The sun was out for a while yesterday but that's the calm before the storm. Now today is a whole different story. Woke to freezing rain and then rain hitting the bedroom window. At some point during the night about 5 cm of snow fell. About an hour after getting up the freezing rain changed to snow and has not stopped. The wind is picking up as the day goes on and things are drifting in. I look out the upstairs window and I can barely see the trailer sitting on the lot next door. I can make out the drift across the middle of our road. I know our back door is drifted in cause the daughter tried to get out to her car and had a hard time getting the screen door pushed open. I'm kind of hoping for a snow day tomorrow from work. It will take us a good part of the day to dig out and then we will have to wait for the plows to come through and open our road.
We'll just get dug out and another storm is in the forecast for Tuesday night and I'm suppose to work that evening . Glad this month is short but it sames long now and we are only into it not even a week yet.
