When I was young I had the illusion that by the time I was in my 40's I would have all the things in my life that I had ever wanted. I never thought about about the life expectancy of most of the things I thought I wanted. How quickly they become obsolete? How many video game systems have i been through? Computers? Cell phones? I really wanted that Atari Video system. It was so cool. By the time Nintendo came on the scene I was ready for the New and improved gaming system. And now.... geez the games on cell phones and ipads are more advanced than anything I had as a kid. Everything in my life gets Upgraded, exchanged or New and improved. Now it is time for me.
Why did I wait so long to see that I needed a new and improved version of me too. It is so much easier for me to spend time and money to update my childrens wardrobes, a new computer or to spend more money to get a new car or the newest Television technology. Those things change so often that by the time you get used to operating them a new and improved version is available.
Where is the operating manual for the new and improved me? So much of what I need to know I am finding right here on the pages of Sparkpeople. I am finding out exactly what the new me will be capable of by reading the inspiring stories of other members here. Does the New me have a Running app? maybe Zoomba app? The Wii Fit app? I think I may need to find the apps that will work best with the new me. I am already working towards new goals and new dreams and realizing that many things I thought I could not accomplish are right there over the horizon. Waiting for me to try. If you wonder whether you can do it, there is someone here just like you who has and they already figured out the how, when and why. I think that will help me to avoid the pitfalls along the way ((((love the atari analogy))) LOL.
