More evidence of my desire to succeed....

Saturday, February 05, 2011

Okay so I know that portion control a major issue for me... SO I ordered the SparkPeople food prep cutting board with food scale and an attached measuring tray so you can chop and scrape right into it (and it measure out the portion you should be eating). I also purchased serving size appropriate SparkPeople containers for my lunches.. and they have attached (and detachable) ice packs. Just put it out on my counter- and it has to stay there... Jim will HATE it as he likes the counters CLEAR (if you know him, you get it) but he will have to cope- I will tell him it is one way he will support me- that will work!

I also bought resistance bands to add to my little gym downstairs so I can add more variety to my work out-- used them today... OUCH but a good ouch!

Today I purchased a new EXPENSIVE sports bra for big girls... today was HORRIBLE-- I literally had to hold them to do my jogging-- it is time for a sports bra for this girl as she pushes up the intensity of her treadmill work out. AND I have been struggling with sneakers because the lace area causes the tops of my feet to go NUMB and it hurts-- so I found some laceless sneakers (probably not the best brand for running- they are sketchers) to help with that issue. If they don't feel good for walking/running then I will bite the bullet and spend bigger money on the pricier laceless athletic shoe.

SO I AM COMMITTED! I keep forging ahead and bumping it up. I can not tell you how great I feel-- even though the dang scale ain't moving - I don't care because I feel great- the best I have in a LONG time!! emoticon

    Hi,
I can't remember how I found your blog! :-P Oh, "rainbow" child post. Yeah, I've got one of those, maybe. Er, maybe probably. He's a Libra, he might never make up his mind!

I just wanted to add that I found cheapish bras at Sierra Trading Post. You have to kind of read through the reviews to find what fits you best, but I got two Moving Comfort bras that have served me well for running for a year or more. At about $20 each. (If you sign up, you get extra discounts. Just read thru the reviews, WAIT for good deals, etc.)

E.T.A.: the one thing I really like about one of the bras I bought----I was bouncing too much today, and was able to adjust it mid-workout! Woot! (velcro straps in front!)

Good luck!
