Wanting to Restart My Exercise, & I Feel Like A Run!!!

I'm wanting to restart my exercising & feel like a run around the neighborhood or across the sands at the beach!
But truth is that I must start off slow so I'm trying to figure out what to do. And where to go...

Any ideas?

I'm thinking I will search through the SparkTeams or Spark articles to find a walking or walk to run plan for beginners. So I'll see where this Sat. lands me.

One of my reasons for not really getting into a hard workout is because I've been trying to keep my Press N Curl as long as I can emoticon But pontytail it shall be, and I hope it doesn't sweat back to where Sunday morning hair will be a mountain to climb lol

    I signed up to do that virutal 5K Spark has going in April. It looks great and the help tools are wonderful. SparkPeople keep out doing themselves all the time. We all are Success. You can do it. Let's do it!

    Try walking briskly for a bit, maybe 10 minutes and then a very slow jog for 1 minute..repeat...it's a great way to move into running and if that is what you want to do, then continue on---running for longer periods!

    I said "goodbye" to the hair back in November, lol, emoticon when I jumped back into taking care of me first. My head sweats like crazy and I can't change that, just accept it must be washed every 2-3 days...I'd feel so much better with a "press n curl" but unfortunately succumbed to the chemical treatment (relaxer)...and am breaking off my ends using that darn flat iron...The other option is to leave in conditioner with a ponytail..No worries, health first emoticon

    Thanks! I didn't do any walking Sat., but Sunday I walked around the musuem for about 60min. and then downtown about 10 min.
    On Tuesday and Wed. I did more walking with a little bit of jogging around the neighborhood and some aerobics at church Wed. night!

    So I'm taking it slow. I think a good 30 minutes around the neighborhood on a regular basis does sound good.

    take it slow start out with an 30 min walk around your neighborhood or at the mall. good luck you can do it.
