What happens when you lose a few pounds, post it and then gain it back! I'm sure I'm not the only one. I don't want to do the weigh in until I lose it again. I guess I need to insist that weigh in is on Sunday and I post whether I like it or not!
I'm trying to set up incentives for myself -but should I put that I have to keep the weight off for at least a week before I get my "prize". Any thoughts out there....

    Thanks for the insight! I think I'll give myself a week and go ahead and celebrate with a prize. I'll be less likely to give in to a tiny gain if I've cashed in already. Great advice. emoticon

    When my weight would creep up instead of down, I always gave myself a week to get it back to where it was. This is because sodium or TOM could be at play. If I didn't get back down to my ticker number in a week, then I knew it was a real gain and changed my ticker. Waiting that week also motivated me greatly to work my butt off to make sure I didn't have to show a gain on my ticker.

As for waiting to get your "prize," I tried to have the mindset of never going back. In other words, if the scale showed 149.5, I "owned" that number in my mind and did whatever I could to NOT let myself get back into the 150s. If you think that you might waiver a bit, then definitely wait to reward yourself until you are well established at or below the number goal you set.
