Let It Snow. . . . .

Tuesday, February 01, 2011

Good Day Sparkfam!! So we have the news reports & looks like Chicago is going to be hit with almost 20inches of snow. Well, me being an Chicagoan will have to see it, to believe it. lol The snow is picking up, the wind is lifting & spraying it around like pelts of ice. The wind is also strong & pushing people around like loose pieces of paper. I am staying in tonight. We have a class that is supposed to go on tomorrow, the group that is sponsoring this course wants the class to go. Well we packed up like we would see each other on Thursday/Friday but we will see. I hate to leave the company hanging so I order breakfast & will have them bring lunch at the same time in disposables so the catering company doesn't have to come back and pick it up. Aren't I grand. lol So we were released from work around 2:30pm but I didn't leave the office til 4:30pm. I kept looking at the snow & dreading the drive home but I gathered my things and left. The wind almost blew me away & as I tried to get the snow off my truck it blew in my face. I was like, its going to be an hour before I get home but actually it only took 40minutes. My girlfriend was on my phone keeping me focused on driving. I'm home and now its like a chilly in here but I don't feel like moving from the computer or else I won't finish my blog.

Today, I got in Total Body Sculpt with Gilad 30mins, walked 60mins & will do Zumba in a minute. I am actually feeling like do an hour workout but then again, I feel like resting. I ate pretty good, except for the cinnamon roll but I had baked chicken, string beans, milk, yogurt & chili.

So I pray you guys are having a wonderful Tuesday.

God bless & enjoy everyday!

Well that made me cold! lol Our Winter stuff started Mon night. I was asleep and hear the sleet hitting my window. I slept great though. I jumped up the next morning to look out the window and it was all white...and pretty. lol I knew there would be no school on that fact that stuff ice and snow stayed on the ground until it started to melt on Sat. The kids were out of school everyday but Mon. My home town in Ok received about 16 inches in areas. WOW! I just smiled and felt sorry for my son who had to work everyday. It stayed below freezing until Sat also. But the sun is out today and water is all over the place. But the visitors for the Superbowl are happy now.
Girl...How you doing? Stay warm and drive safely. Watch the other drivers. Many blessings and prayers to you!

Hi Dee... How are doing today?... are you going to work tomorrow?... I won't know if we will be open until tomorrow morning, but even if we are I don't know if I will be going in because the side streets have not been shoveled and I can't walk in it like it is... I am asthmatic and walking the 2 blocks from the bus stop yesterday was a real struggle, I was praying that I wouldn't pass out... When I got in the house I was ok... I think it was a combination of the wind and anxiety. The sun didn't do much to melt the snow today, but it was pretty.

If you are out and about, please be safe... Stay warm! ~ Dee emoticon

So did you have to go in to work today? My son (over in Bucktown) with United had a snow day--only essential personnel had to go in. They got a couple feet of snow. Hope you are okay!
