My new approach

Monday, January 31, 2011

So another week without a loss, not that I was surprised! With TOM and going out on the weekend I am just glad it was not a gain. I know that I have to do better on the weekends, despite the fact that I don't track much on the weekends as I would rather spend time with the family then sit at the computer to track! But that does not give me a free pass for the weekends and I do really need to be more mindful of what I am eating at all times. I have come to the realization that I will not make my goal weight in time for my brother's wedding in May. I did, however, get a dress already and I feel confident and think I look good in it, which is all I really wanted! I am going to keep eating as mindfully and healthy as I can, continue to workout at least five days a week. I am going to trust in the process and get myself healthy and well. I am not going to pay as much attention to the scale, slow and steady are going to win this race. I am in this for the long haul and for life, not just one moment in my life emoticon

After saying last week that I cannot wait to get back outside for my workout today I decided to get out there and do it! The sun was out, it was -8 C, and I did it any way. Little one got bundled up and into the stroller. I got myself bundled up and off we went. Getting up the driveway was a real chore but we did it and I felt great after! I had been struggling with a headache all morning and by the time I got back home the headache was gone! Hooray for an outdoor workout!
