Stinking Thinking & Menopause; so, men Beware ...women only! lol!

Monday, January 31, 2011

All I can say is, "Grrrrrrrr.... up two lbs!" Just figured out, using TOM as an excuse to eat without measuring and weighing things, is stupid, stupid, stupid!!!

I didn't plan like I normally do either, precooking and freezing always helps during tough times, but this time I had nothing on hand and so we ordered Chinese take out a couple of times ... TOM also showed up unexpectedly [menopause don't you know]; anyway, 1st thing I'm going to do is get rid of the stinking thinking [Oh, wait ..that got kicked to the curb the minute I got on the scale this morning] and all I have to do now is get to cooking, baking, and reading Sparkpeople blogs and challenges.

Thanks for letting me have a small vent! LOL! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I know you. You're more than a conquerer in Christ Jesus. You are an overcomer in this life. You are going to make it.

Hormones SUCK. Would love for TOM to move away from my house, but from everything I've heard, even after TOM goes away, the hormonal fluctuations are still hard to deal with if they were hard to deal with before. Yay us.

A dear lady who has been there done that recently gave me a book about estrogen dominance, and how using natural progesterone can help. I just started using it so don't have any "WOW!" story for ya, but the book sure made sense. It's called "What your doctor may not tell you about premenopause" by John R Lee M.D.

I plan to blog about my experience once I know a little more... meanwhile good luck with yours and know that you are NOT alone! emoticon

I'm on a shot that keeps mine at bay- it also regulates my hormonal mood swings, unfortunately I have other emotional mood swings and nothing to blame it on (my poor DH).
You may be up on lbs because of the effects of your TOM...
    Best wishes- C

I hear ya about using TOM as an excuse to eat too much....I did that all the time! What's funny is that even after my hysterectomy I would still eat like crazy once a month! Must have been 'phantom' TOM. lol
