An Ap0logy Letter To My Body

Dear Body,

I just wanted to take a moment as we begin this journey together to apologize for the hardship I've put you through the past few years. I've told you many a time that I was changing my ways, eating better and exercising- only to quit after a couple weeks. I've let my emotions get the best of me many a time and filled you with cookies and crackers in a poor attempt to make the problems or feeling go away. I've been lazy- neglecting to cook dinner and more often stopping for the easy choice- aka McDonald's.

I wanted to let you know that this time- I won't be letting you down. You see, a few weeks ago, I found an amazing site called SparkPeople- which has inspired me to eat right and exercise, I don't see any sign of slowing down. Get your hopes up- because body, we're going the distance this time! We're going to start doing a lot of different exercises- Tae Bo, Hip Hop, stationary bike, and even strength training- that's a first! When I'm upset- we'll take a walk- instead of reaching for a bag of Goldfish, and by the way, I won't be buying those anymore- best to rid the house of temptation. Say goodbye to fast food- I've stocked the house with veggies and fruits galore!

It has taken a long time, but I feel empowered, I finally feel that I can shed the pounds! Along the way, I'll need your help- you're going to get sore- but that's okay, it just means we're working hard, burning calories and gaining muscle. Body, I am recommitting to you and together, we can conquer the world...or at least lose 58lbs by October 30th!
