I have started a weight loss goal countdown ticker on FB to keep me motivated to continue with my fitness program. I have it set for my 43 birthday next February, so that gives me a year to reach my goal.
I got the call that I have been accepted to participate in the study on depression. I start on Wednesday and it will be interesting to see if I lost any more weight this past week. I also got invited to attend a women’s retreat with 40 women from our small church this Friday through Saturday afternoon. It should be a fun and uplifting time, and we have been asked to bring sweets. I am going to bring fruit salad.
I was trying to remember the last time I got dressed up for my husband, and I honestly could not remember. DH is a good man, we have had our ups and downs, and he has always been there for me when it matters the most. I decided to do something nice for myself and for him and made a nice dinner. While it was cooking, I went and took a bath and even shaved my legs. Then I picked out a skirt and blouse and fixed my hair, put on makeup and heels! He was surprised when he saw me, then DH helped me get our DS a bath and it was a nice dinner date at home. I want to do this more often!
