Team: The Challenge of Harry Potter
Topic: Winter Term Week 5
I've made the Quidditch team and here is my game plan.
Challenge 1 ~ Set 3 SMART goals
I want to set a game plan that will help get the quaffel through the goal. The 3 goals are weight loss, healthy mind and a healthy body.
Quaffel #1.) Protein shakes for lunch Monday-Friday.
Quaffel #2.) Meditate and prayer 10 minutes/day.
Quaffel #3.) Stretch 10 minutes/day.
1.) Protein shakes for lunch Monday-Friday. I have been tracking my nutrition in the food log for 2 weeks. It only took me 3 days to realize a problem area. Lunch. I live a mile from work and am able to go home for lunch most days. Where apparently I ate for the whole hour! In my first days of tracking, my lunch was adding up to 850-900 calories.
The bludger for me is the need to eat my stress. It is so easy to grab the whole bowl or plate of left overs in the frig, plop down on the couch, turn on some mindless sitcom while I turn off my mind and turn on my mouth. Some days are a real handful! I, as a good beater, will wack the bludger named stress and replace it with deep breathing.
2.) Meditate and pray 10 minutes/day. A mind is a part of my journey.
The bludger for me will be telling myself I don't have the time. I, as a good beater, will wack this bludger by writing in my day planner the time of day I will meditate and pray.
3.) Stretch 10 minutes/day. My Grandmother will be 100 years old in April. She can bend at the waist and touch the floor with both palms. That's what I want for myself.
Although I love to stretch (it gives me energy) the bludger is all that I have added to and changed in my life in the last 2 weeks. I start wondering if I really will have time to stretch each day? It's important. I will make it work. I, as a good beater, will wack this bludger by once again scheduling in my day planner.
