This blog entry is part of my grand plan for 2011 - accountability each month to myself. This is going to be my best year ever.
1. Review progress every month.
Report card for January has to be a 'D'.
2. Be a FORCE on Spark.
Actual : I started strong, then fizzled. Logged on every day.
February Assignment : Earn 50 Spark Points daily; post to a Spark Friends page every day.
3. I will save more than I spend.
Actual : Saved 3x what I spent. Learning to live with less.
February Assignment : Find & read a book on living frugally. Save 30% of what I get this month.
4. Weigh less at the beginning of every month than the one before.
Actual : Gained 1.5#.
February Assignment : Be diligent and disciplined to lose 8# this month. 10# would be ideal and a great success!
5. No charges to my personal credit card.
Actual : Most recent statement shows zero balance. No new charges. Shredded card; still trying to delete online.
February Assignment : Run yearly credit report.
6. Eliminate sugar from my diet.
Actual : I had some great days sprinkled through the month; needed many more.
February Assignment : Drink one glass of water for one glass of anything else.
7. Complete one major project each month.
Actual : Nothing completed, chipping away at them.
February Assignment : Complete GGMs quilt; taxes ready to file.
8. Do something special for hubby daily.
Actual : I never know how to measure something like this. Can I ever do enough for this wonderful man?
February Assignment : Actually PLAN (on my planner) some spontaneity time.
9. Stay current:
Actual : Did nothing. Have learned that I will have to save previous years updated EOY statements due to the Wells Fargo/Wachovia merger.
February Assignment : This will happen during tax preparation
b)Tracking nutrition (by mid-yr, PRE-tracking)
Actual : Pre-tracked for one week.
February Assignment : Pre-track breakfasts of Feb 1-6
Pre-track breakfasts and dinners of Feb 7-13
Pre-track breakfasts, dinners, and snacks of Feb 14-20
Pre-track breakfasts, dinners, snacks, and lunches Feb 21-28
Actual : Did all planned tasks.
February Assignment : Continue to keep the HOA off my back and remain diligent in praying that the dead tree does not fall on the house. Ck on renters insurance.
Actual : Some progress in old tasks.
February Assignment : Need improvement in daily routine. Perfect my evening routine this month.
Actual : Did my part; waiting on replies.
February Assignment : Call my brothers once this month. Call my parents every Wednesday evening. Call my daughter every week just to tell her I am thinking of her.
10. Exercise programs this year:
Actual : In 3rd week, only doing upper body workouts.
February Assignment : Reduce reps to 8-12 range; increase weight.
b)Turbo Fire (beginning 10jan2011)
Actual : Did 7 classes. Developed pain in left leg.
February Assignment : Ditch the TurboFire pending doctors visit. Replace with elliptical workouts, minimum 4x weekly, 30-45 minutes long.
c)Insanity (after 30# loss. Still gotta guard my knees)
d)Swim once pool opens
e)Train for walking of Texas Marathon on New Years Day 2012
11. Enjoy new Bible-reading plan.
Actual : Nice progress.
February Assignment : Eliminate the need for a catch-up day.
12. Learn to really use my computer and Office
Actual : Received Windows 7 manual from my library. DVD waiting for me now.
February Assignment : Read the 3 books from library, work through DVD.
I am not sure if I am stretching myself too thin, or if I just have poor time management skills because I seem to be insanely busy with limited results. Scholarship research is almost a full time job and the time it requires online greatly reduces online time for other things.
This week I will be making an appointment to see my orthopedic. There is no hope for my knees unless I get dead serious about losing this weight. I'm not sure that I can walk around with a brace on both knees.
I can do what ever it takes, even if it means starting over.
