I had no idea that the water I was getting from Walmart had aspertame in it. I also had no idea how dangerous aspertame is.
Here is what I found online after being told in a child care food program class about the dangers of aspertame.
From 10,000 consumer complaints the FDA compiled a list of 92 Symptoms reported from aspartame use, including death.
FDA list of 92 aspartame-related symptoms:
Edema (Fluid Retention)
Blood Sugar Control Problems (Hypoglycemia or Hyperglycemia)
Brain Cancer (Pre-approval studies in animals)
Burning Eyes or Throat
Can't Think Straight
Excessive Thirst or Hunger
Flushing of Face
Hair Loss (Baldness) or Thinning of Hair
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
Impotency and Sexual Problems
Inability to Concentrate
"Like Thinking in a Fog"
Marked Personality Changes
Menstrual Problems or Changes
Migraines and Severe Headaches (Trigger or Cause From Chronic Intake)
Muscle spasms, Nausea or Vomiting, Numbness or Tingling of Extremities
Other Allergic-Like Reactions
Rapid Heart Beat
Seizures and Convulsions
Slurring of Speech
Also Splenda is clorinated in processing
Equal has been proven to cause cancers
and so much more.
I did learn though that Stevia and agave nectar, sugar cane sugar, molasses, brown rice syrup and honey are healthier options than products that are chemically altered. I am definetly changing my way of eating.
