My home town has been covered in snow for days...yesterday was a big snow day and it was still snowing today. By the comments on Facebook, all my friends and family are pretty tired of staying inside because of the weather. Comments like "Snow Snow go away...don't come back another day." I can remember as an adult...sleigh riding and playing in the snow...followed by warm cups of hot cocoa, popcorn and lots of laughter.
Where I now live now...snow is not likely so....even though we are not prepared for it like citys further North, we love to see it on the trees and blanketing the ground. Although no one likes to drive in it.




So, in 5 days this furry round creature is going to wake-up and come out of his burrow and decide if winter is over... or ... we get another 6 weeks of snow, ice and frigid air. It seems to me a daunting task for one who has just climbed out of his warm bed after months of sleeping. Some one could give him a cup of hot cocoa first !




I am ready for spring and everything that comes with spring. I want to get into the house cleaning... I want to walk in the park regularly. I want to feel the warmth of sun shine on my face. I want to feel energized by the flowers, bird and renewal of life... trees coming alive with yellow green leaves, spring rains, and balmy windy kite flying days.....

......... For all too soon we will be facing 100+ temperatures and dry dry arid air with mosquito nights....and we will want to stay in our air conditioned homes all denned up from both the heat and pests. I am so glad I have the Wellness Center to help stay active when the weather outside is unfit. And thank the Lord for those few days of spring when we can take our Fitness to the Streets....and hills and valleys and enjoy His Creation fresh 'n new again.
