I was falling asleep on the couch at naptime which is a big no no when doing daycare even with just a few here today, so I decided to get up and mute my tv and do my Wii biggest loser challenge game. (Monday I had to buy a new Wii for the games I already have because my 7 year old son broke the disc drive in the other Wii I had.)
I must say I am liking the new Wii better. This one has internet buttons and loads faster and seems to track what I am doing better thanks to the new sensor remote.
But now I have the challenge of playing all my games again and getting all new scores on everything. This was a plus for me. I took it as a challenge.

Monday I did my Wii challenge and at the end of the workout it gives you a score for how well you performed each workout and the combination of the lengths of workout session. I got a 121 on Monday for a 20 min workout, a 157 on Tuesday for a 22 min workout and 353 today for a 25 min workout. Todays workout was boxing with Jillian. Boy did I need boxing more than you could imagine.
I have a client who has been trying to turn in her 2 week notice with me that she is leaving but still has outstanding bills from Nov, Dec, and Jan. so I told her she could not leave till she was paid up and in order for the next provider to be paid by her child care assistance I have to sign her letter of 2 week notice and she takes the letter to assistance. I told her I would not sign till she was paid in full.
Mon and Tuesday night she argued with me on how much the invoices were for, granted I understand her argument on Monday because I made a clirical error, but to come back again the next day and fight with me more on care that I have already provided for her children and this is care for a 2 yr and 7 yr with tons of attitude and from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm mon to friday. So then she comes in again this morning as wants an itemized list of the overtime hours I am charging her. Errrrrr I wanted to scream. "Your two yr old is here 12 hours a day that is 2 hours overtime and 10 hours full time monthly billing. If this was any other job I would be paid overtime after the 8th hour!!!!

Put simply you got the care now pay up, and don't stand in front of me and tell your daughter you will give her money for girl scouts and money for book orders at school and not pay me since Nov and we are practically in Feb.

Well all should be going well now. She came in this morning and I gave her the new invoices broken into each month and she said ok I will have it tommarrow for you.

Plus last night after grandma picked up the kids I got back on my Wii did another 20 min of boxing and 20 min of yoga

Wow, I'm sorry to hear of your predicament. I had a client last year that was not paying either, but we had a contract. 1st day, warning, 2nd, 5% past due fee, 3rd day: no care until paid in full. They paid very quickly when I turned them away at the door on day 3.
Glad to hear you have a way to let out steam. Good luck, I'll be praying for you!

I'm glad you got that great stress reliever with you wii.
I have done in home daycare before, and if I wasn't getting paid, it would be a real struggle to stay upbeat. That can be a really high stress job. It can also be incredibly rewarding, but I remember days when I was just drained. It's great that you can vent about it by writing it down too. I know for me, that usually helps me to gain clarity on a feasible solution more quickly.
Good luck. Stay positive.

Do you have a signed contract by her? We just had a training last night on this subject & you would be surprised at how many are going through the same problem. If you don't have one, you need to get a signed document that states how much she owes you & when it need to be paid in full. You can take them to small claims court if you have signed documents.
