A SparkOprah Call for Help - MomNGuitarMan

Wednesday, January 26, 2011

I read this today from my Spark Buddy, MOMNGUITARMAN:

"I worked really hard at keeping everyone at arms length. No one ever bothered to try to figure out why. If they had maybe they would have figured out that I was afraid of being hurt. I am the only person in my family who is overweight. I have been fat since I was 6 yrs old. My mom constantly tried to force me on diets (unsuccessfully, no one can do this for me). She never hid the fact that she was ashamed of my appearance. It didn't matter if my grades were good. If I helped someone. Nothing else mattered, just my weight."

As if that wasn't enough on her plate, she also has a special needs daughter who keeps her days and nights full. She is trying to find her way and build a healthier, happier person. And we all know how tough that can be in the early stages.

I'm asking my Spark Buddies to swoop in with the magic encouragement and support. You can read the blog here:

And you can find her Spark Page here:

If I'm right, she is about to be overwhelmed with an outpouring of Spark Buddy support. And man, that's a great thing.
