Off to a limping start!

I re-started the spark diet last week, without really thinking about it. I knew I wanted to get healthy, lose weight, and regain balance in my life, and I enjoyed the diet the couple of weeks when I initially joined back in June 2010. Of course, wouldn't you know it? I left on Friday for a weekend trip to visit family in Florida and didn't have access to very much healthy food or to a computer to track my progress. So, I started over yesterday. emoticon

I had every intention to exercise today and was really jazzed about getting back on the treadmill, but at 2am, my stomach had other thoughts, and I spent the rest of the night hugging the toilet. So, instead of getting my groove on the treadmill, I'm taking it easy this morning (the kids are at preschool) and doing some much needed overhauling of my emails, blogs, and other sedentary stuff.

It's actually kind of nice. The tv is off; the dogs are snoozing, and it's kind of a dreary day - perfect for inner reflection and snuggling under a blanket. I might just have to do this on a regular basis - maybe like once a month. I kind of feel like it's a way for all of me (not just my brain and not just my body) to recharge itself!

Well, off to figure out what my stomach will tolerate food-wise today and to take a shower before it's time to pick up the kids!

More tomorrow!

Thanks, Vic! I totally agree with you; my body happened to be saying that today was not the day to push it. And, because I made the conscious decision to take it easy, not worry about chores, exercising, or eating right, it was like a burden was lifted off of my shoulders!
