I can see the goal line! Run, run, RUN!!!! (pic heavy)

Tuesday, January 25, 2011

I started eating right again on 08/14/10 & dropped ~9 lbs between then and Christmas, however I have only been faithfully working out daily (alternating Zumba & ST) and calorie counting since 01/03/11.

I have been noticing subtle changes, and with the help of the RMPPC I have seen those changes in photos, motivating me to work even harder. Well, lately (as in the past week) I've noticed my pants have been feeling looser and looser. I went from a size 6 to a 4, then a 2 back in December, and found that I could even fit in some 0's of certain brands, but I did not buy new jeans because I already had plenty of 4's and they fit well enough.

Well, I think that might have to change and perhaps a little shopping trip is in order, because now my 4's are to the point that they bag in the back & slip down off of my hips as I'm walking. I can also easily pull them off without unbuttoning them (I would demonstrate this, but I don't have a web cam, and I don't think it would be internet appropriate, lol).
Last night I went to teach CPR & First Aid to a cub scout group and after I put my jeans on, I changed my mind and put my scrub pants on instead since I can cinch those up. I guess being a nurse can come in handy in my clothing attire as well, lol!

This morning I stepped on the scale and do you know what it said? 120.6 lbs. ONE-HUNDRED-TWENTY POINT SIX POUNDS! omg, I fell off the scale. I am now within my goal pound. I would love to be at 120 give or take a little for maintenance. I reweighed myself three times just to be sure the scale wasn't lying to me. What can I say? I'm a scale skeptic.
It is so motivating to not only be feeling 100% better, have more energy, more self-esteem, more quality in my life, but to be able to SEE the changes as well.

These are photos I took this morning of my FRESHLY WASHED & DRIED 4's. You can imagine how much looser they are as they stretch out throughout the day/s (and maybe I'm gross & lazy, but unless I get my jeans dirty, I wear them two or three times before I wash them again. I shower all the time!).

It's kind of hard to see the bagginess in the legs, but I swear my legs are being swallowed in these jeans.

You can see it a little better in this one.

Now in comparison, here is the one pair of 2's I own. They fit much better. These ones actually fit my legs (see, I told you they weren't as big as the 4's make them look!)

And here is a pic of me in those same pair of 4's back in October @ ~125 lbs (5 lbs heavier, also before I started working out). They were definitely tighter.

So, there you have it! Eat RIGHT, work out HARD, PUSH yourself, and you WILL SEE RESULTS!
Have a wonderful day, Sparkers!! emoticon emoticon

Holy abs! You look great. Wish I could take those 4s off your hands - I am having such a hard time finding pants now that I am smaller. I don't think I am the right shape for 2s (hereditary big thighs) but I did buy a pair of 2 jeans without trying them on. They were too good of a deal to pass up, so I am keeping them as goal jeans.

I hit 120 on New Year's Day, but it didn't stick. I am solidly at 122 now, without having changed my routine much. I would love to hit under that 120 mark for nice maintenance range.

Here's to a skinny 2011!

Looking super. Your abs are flat and tight! I too do the step on the scale three times (you never know, right). So congrats and the jeans say it all, remember the scale isn't the best way to measure your progress. I actually keep a pair of shorts, that are totally out of style (high waist and such), but the cut of the shorts tell me where I may be getting bigger or smaller in the waist, hip and even upper thigh area. I try them on for measure!
