It's been a while since I last visited Sparkpeople, but I'm ready to get back on track yet again. 2010 brought a lot of unavoidable disasters in my life, but 2011 is looking more optimistic. With work,school, and chilly weather it is going to be a challenge finding the time and motivation to workout, but I am committing myself to finding a winter activity that I can stick with.
Since I've been out of the game for quite a while, I am going to start this week with some small, but realistic goals. I quit smoking last week, BUT sadly I have found that a lot more junk fod is making it's way into my mouth as a substitute... it doesn't help that my new job involves receiving a lot of free bakery samples! So this week, I am going to cut out all the junk food. I know that this won't be a forever thing (afterall, what fun is a life without sweets!), but for now the temptation is proving too much. I am also going to go to bed by 11pm (something I am getting better at), drink at least 8 glasses of water daily, and pick an exercise / meal program (I hate the word "diet").
Let's just call this week a preliminary week because I am going to focus more on preparing myself for the rough road ahead...
