Appt. with Orthopedic Surgeon today

Finally went to an Orthopedic doctor today to see what was really going on with the pain I have been having in my left knee. According to Dr. he wouldnt exactly say I have a tear in my meniscus but he called it fraying. Doing a scope at this point isnt necessary so he suggested ibuprofen for inflammation. I also made sure I didnt need to change my workout routine...and he said to definitely go by how my knee feels and that maybe riding my recumbent bike would be a better option. Elliptical would be better....but dont have one of those (yet). So I am going to press on and see how things go.

    I agree with Nancy - take it easy and let your knee heal up. This healing is something better to let it take its own time and fully mend. You will keep strong and moving in the long run.

    From someone who has had 2 knee surgeries to remove torn meniscus, take it easy on that knee! Rest and give it some to heal! The elliptical is definitely easy on my knees. I'm keeping you in prayer that your pain goes away.

    Marlo girl, do I ever feel your pain. Did he mention injections? I am a raving fan of them. I think it is so silly when they tell you to listen to your knee - like there would ever be a choice? I'll add you to my prayer list.
