Downward Facing Dog with the dogs

Monday, January 24, 2011

OK, so instead of putting up the gate like usual while exercising, I thought I'd try to "sneak" and do them while Dona & Baby napped. I'll never learn but it still was worth it because I was burning calories from laughing so hard. While doing the Plank, my ears were cleaned-and very well, I might add. The Dolphin pose allowed Baby to get under me while she lay on her back trying to pump her legs up & down. I could swear she had a huge grin on her face. Maybe later I'll actually be able to get a workout in but right now I think I'll play.

I have a dog and two cats and if I'm on the floor, naturally it must be play time, or I want to pet them, or............... give them treats. But you're right -- laughing uses up calories too. Couldn't live without them!

My furbaby gets very confused when I am on the floor. Doesn't that mean it's time to play with Buddy,,,but this is weird play. Humans!

Thanks for sharing. I can't do floor exercises either. Trying sitting up with a dog on you chest.

I no longer do yoga around the puppy. I learned the hard way that the corpse pose at the end of the work out and a concerned 85 pound boxer means bad things for my ribs and stomach.

On the other hand, he is a constant reminder that I am loved. Absolutely without judgment no matter what I look like or what mood I am in. I am perfect in his eyes especially when I come bearing snacks.

I am so glad that you can find the play time with yours.

I love it. I have a cat (dog lover too, but I can only have one or the other)he's crazy but we love him. I can't workout out if he is around because he thinks I'm playing and attacks my hands and feet. The other day I was on the machine and he was riding it while I did all the work. The world would be a boring place without the critters. I love them all. Happy Friday. No outfit is complete without cat hair.

Too funny - love it. Hudson licks my face whenever I lie on the floor, however she can get to it, lol! Gotta love these furkids - they're a delight 99.99999% of the time. ;)
    Rock the day,

my dogs also get into my yoga routines so I try to do a workout with them at least once a week I don't burn as many calories with them but it is enjoyable for them; they love it.

My labrador was also so silly! Any activity at floor level was like an invitation to wrestle with me. I miss her!

Dogs are the best! It's awesome that they know just how to make us laugh and put a smile on our faces.

That's great! My dog, Phillip, just sits in his chair and looks at me while I do exercise videos. He likes to lick the sweat off my legs afterward, though. I'm sure you burned many calories with your belly laughs. Thanks for posting and giving me one!
