My virtual cross country journey continues. The first 2 weeks I'd biked/walked 90+ miles from my apartment and found myself in Scotrun, PA...home of 7' champagne!
So this week I took off from Scotrun, still heading west down I-80. I saw a lot of interesting things, and LOTS of mountains, those seemingly insurmountable obstacles that try to impede your progress and get you to give up . I passed them all, pushing myself to peddle just a little harder or walk a bit more briskly, or run without actually dying! Pretty soon the worst of the mountains were behind me and I was sailing along...just enjoying the sites.
Sometime during the week I passed an old miner's village from about 1854. Only 19 people live there now but it was a pretty little village and I stopped to snap a couple of picks to share.
And this one too...
FINALLY at the end of the week, I coasted into Mooresburg, PA. 75.34 miles from where I'd started out. I was tired and I was sore. But I felt ACCOMPLISHED and INVIGORATED and I couldn't wait to see where next week would take me on my journey and what new things I might see along the way.
Dear Spark Friends...
Greeting from Mooresburg, PA! There's not much around here but I knew I had to drop a postcard and found this cool city marker (though city is a VAST overstatement). The town seems nice, but I miss the 7' champagne. Will write again next week!
