It Finally Dawned On Me! *faints*

Four down, one to go! Who knew wine was that much of a motivator for me? Ha! I completed all of my goals yesterday: I tracked all of my food but dinner (which consisted of a spinach panini on whole grain bread with dijon red potatoes and a about .5c of penne with pesto and because I wasn't even at 1,000 calories by dinner and knew dinner wasn't 1,000, I treated myself to a chocolate oatmeal cookie)! I also managed to hammer out a rough draft of my business' Mission Statement and worked on both of my projects. Lastly, I read over 40pgs of my book!

Done like dinner my friends!

So happy to see Friday here! It's been a fairly quick week but I'm tired today! I had two back-to-back nights of very late classes and even "slept in" until 7am this morning as I was NOT wanting to get out of bed. But I'm really looking forward to my Friday Night Chillax Party as I now call it. I've decided to not book myself up on Friday nights if I can at all help it just so I can unwind from the week. I have a bunch of random ingredients in the fridge to use up so my only plan is to hop on the elliptical, make a fun and nutritious dinner and then veg.

Sooo...it only hit me about two weeks ago the enormity of my 30k race. As it turns out, I dismiss a distance if it doesn't say "marathon" in the title as being something I don't need to worry too much about. Thankfully that naivete came to a screeching halt when it hit me like a ton of bricks that I'll be running 3/4 of a FULL marathon this year. That's absolultely nothing to sneeze at and something I actually need to pay close attention to and prepare for. I finally understand what marathoners go through when they say they can't fathom the distance. I know I can do it, it just freaks me the hell OUT! EEK!!!!!!!!!!

Goals for today:

- Track food!
- 60 minutes on the elliptical.
- Revise and send Ethics Form to T.A..
- Get a rough draft on Sensory Integration Therapy demonstration idea.

    Well, it's about time you let it click just how momentous doing 30k is!!! LOL And I'm so happy that you found your reward! I still need to find mine, but I'm seriously thinking it might be See's Candy. I just can't seem to stay away, so why not work it in as a reward? I know you aren't supposed to use food treats as a reward, but hell, I want it and I think it might work so why not?!? hahahaha

Have an AWESOME weekend doing some relaxing stuff!

    No fair, I wish the Ottawa Groupon was for Running Room! Ours is for Botox today.
I am like you in that I dismiss distances shorter than 'marathon', but I have started to realize just how big (and how soon) my 30K race is. End of March is coming quickly, and 2 weeks from this Sunday I will be running a 25K training run. That's the farthest I've ever run!!!
