I've have seen many sparkers ask everyone to write down 10 thing they are thankful for. Responders always list the very pleasant and beautiful blessing in their lives. I think sometime we need to see how our trails and the unpleasant things in life have blessed us and made us stronger and wiser. Maybe we should list them and see how they have been blessings.
It seems hard to be thankful for things we wished we wouldn't have to endure or weaknesses we despise. Anyway I'm gonna give it a try.
1. Am I really thankful to be Fat. Not really. Am I thankful for what it has taught me. Yes! Sometimes I wish I had that fat burning body that I had as a teenager when I could eat all the pizza, burgers and fries I wanted and wash down with lots of coke. Would those eating habits server me well. Not really. Would I have had to learn to eat right. No. I know I eat healthier and exercise more because of my weight problem.
2. I am thankful that it's hard to control my appetite. Not really! I am thankful I've learned portion control and eating regular meals.
3. I'm thankful I'm lazy and don't want to exercises. No again. It's taught me that if I put my mind to it I can over come this weakness. Some days it can be a struggle and I have to tell myself to get my butt out the door. I've learned that once I've started I'm good. It's getting started that's the hard part not the doing.
Well it's time for bed I'll work on this more tomorrow.
