Good Thursday Sparkfam! So its cold here & my youngest was very sick last night & this morning. He was just sleeping so mama bear was very worried. I allowed him to stay home cause he wasn't getting out of that bed. So I gave him cold tablets cause he HATES cough medicine. I'm glad of that but when he gets so sick it makes me crazy!! UGH!!! So went home on lunch to check on him because he wouldn't answer the phone. I got home the dog barely barked my mind racing a thousand miles a minute that he's on the floor or had a seizure or something? I turned off the alarm & ran up the stairs by 2 only to find him sleeping like he never slept before. I went over to check he was still breathing & I sighed so big he stirred. I then check his forehead with my check & he wasn't hot. I called his name & he opened his eyes only to close them. He was sweating which is always good when you feel they may be getting really sick. He asked for a hamburger & I knew he was better. Now should he go to school tomorrow? All comments welcomed. . .

Okay, so we went to the restaurant go there expecting a bunch of uptight starched collars & got exactly the opposite. Everyone was laid back & shaking hands & laughing & smiling. I just knew it was going to be the worst but I am so glad I went. I had an outstanding time & even shared some ideas & got to know some of the most important men & women in the construction industry knew my name. HEY NOW!! lol Even though Buca isn't my thing, I actually ate the lemon chicken, had a slice of meatball, ate some paste with a wine sauce, had cesar salad & a salad with cranberries, apples & walnuts. I didn't eat the walnuts but since I live on Spark I have opened my mind to try most foods & not be a big baby. Oh did you know my that's where my name comes from? Being the baby of the family & some times acting as such. Anyway, we laughed & we got serious & we felt we got some really good ideas & since we made some cuts on our salary & paying into our health benefits in 2009 this is the first time we had an open & good conversation. It had nothing to do with my promotion either. I was open & the reason for that is the understanding of how I feel about myself. Yes I am very self conscious but I 've learned to relax & listen & form my sentence & then speak. So I would take my family to Buca just for the family style service. I give it a B- well I am a salmon steak or baked potato type of gal. lol
