Can't believe the last time I blogged was August '10. Lot has happened since then. I'm down to the lowest I've been since I ballooned up after chemo. That's 10.5 years ago that I hit the 16's.. I'm in the low 140's. Fitting into all size 14's, not just the "large" running one's after going back up to the "large-ish" 16's and "smallish" 18's. I've yo-yo'd so much these past 10 years I probably gained and lost 200 pounds during this time.
I relied on Atkins "diet" and lost every time, but thinking "diet" I always went "off" of it back to "normal" eating. Well, my "normal" way of eating was NOT normal! Eating healthily is normal. Now I'm eating fruits and veggies. Still not like I should but more than I have in 20 years. I'm working on increasing it a little at a time. Same with exercise. No more working out til I hurt and then quitting. Now, I' doing only a few minutes at a time...increasing gradually.
The "handicapped" gal who could not walk to the corner is now logging close to 9000 steps on her pedometer almost daily. 10,000 steps (recommended daily) goal here I come!
I've bid farewell to all of the 16's and am now wearing the 14's I bought 5-6 years ago when I was loosing wt and bought some tight clothes that I knew I would get down to wearing soon. Instead I went up....then down but not enough. Up then down..., over and over again...never quite reaching the size 14's....until now. Wooo Hooo!
Slow and sure will win the race.
