I came back, back in November. Not exactly a good time with two huge holidays in there. Needless to say, it only lasted about a day or two.
Yesterday, though, reality hit. I was meeting friends for lunch, and I tried on 3 pair of pants from my closet to find some that weren't exceptionally tight. So I resolved it was going to be different this time.
When I got up this morning, it was with the full intention of walking a couple of miles with my husband. However, it was pouring outside. Instead of saying "oh, well, I'll try again tomorrow," I got up and went onto Spark. Got online with one of Coach Nicole's cardio videos, and did it. Twice. Kicked my butt, but I did it!
The whole time I'm thinking, "I can't do the circuit/weight training exercises, this is killing me." Guess what I did after Coach Nicole's video? Yup, did my circuit/weight training exercises!
I've already tracked my food (and water!) for breakfast and lunch. Since we're in the process of remodeling our kitchen, we've been eating out all the time. However, one of our favorite restaurants has a "Shrimply Wednesday," where we can get a shrimp dinner (fried, hot, or cold) with potato and vegetables for a low price. I've already decided to skip the potato and double the veggies (not a hardship since I like my veggies anyway), plus I'll have extra calories available to have salad and maybe a small bowl of ice cream. Maybe. We'll have to see on that one.
It's Day One, again. My immediate goal right now is to make it to Day Two. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
