A friend sent me the following quote via email today, not knowing that I had finally decided to 'face my giants' yesterday. If you read yesterday's blog you will understand why this quote means so much to me -

'We are all here for some special reason.
Stop being a prisoner of your past.
Become the architect of your future. '

Isn't it strange the way these things somehow find their way into our lives at the one particular time in which they will have the most impact? Or maybe its just a case of 'when the student is ready, the teacher will appear'. All I know is that I need to stop being a prisoner of my past and become the architect of my future.

Thanks for the quote. It made my day. It's very hard to stop being a prisoner because the past is always there. It's definitely our approach in dealing with it that can be altered. Forward thinking can help us in our quest. We can only have an effect on our future, never our past.

I had a friend that always lost a certain Bible verse a close friend had sent her in a letter. She would always find the verse or letter when she really needed it the most. I believe that everything happens for a reason and sometimes when we need something the most there it is! I really do love the quote Chris.

Hi Chris, You're so right, it does fit my situation too. Thanks for sharing it with me. I'm very impressed with your post yesterday and applaud you for 'getting 'er done!' I wonder if you feel this way too: Once the decision is made, I'm so impatient for the changes to all happen!! Yes, there are steps to follow and details to take some time with, but I'm eager and ready!

And now you share this quote with us...and it sure is what I needed to read today! I think I need a retreat where I'm doing nothing but intense work on myself for a few days, a few weeks would be even better, but days are more reasonable. Now I just need to find one. I guess when I'm ready it will appear!!!

I do believe that people appear in our lives when we're ready to learn. It's what we do with the lessons that help us to grow into the person we're becoming. Can't wait to see that butterfly blossom around the corner...
