Very foggy this morning with a considerable rain storm ready to blow in later today and dump anywhere from 3-6 inches. Should be interesting considering we live on a nice little creek out of the mountains. We'll be fine but we'll also be watching closely! Gotta love our Oregon rain!
January is really the last of the really rainy months (hopefully) and then we can really begin to look forward to Spring. We saw some pussywillows out the other day and the Canada Geese are returning. Temperatures last week and this coming week are in the 50s. Bring it on, Mother Nature! I am so ready for Spring!!
I bought the paperback version of The Spark and am reading the additional section and learning a lot. I believe I was a false-starter before but not this time...strong-start is my goal and I feel ready for it. I've got my various dvds lined up for my intentional movement and though my biggest challenge will be tracking my food I'm going to do it, even if it's on a piece of paper.
I'll be devoting more time to SP rather than FB and developing and renewing some friendships and I'm really looking forward to that. There are so many amazing people on SP and it's a blessing to get to know some of them. Talk about inspiration!
I'm going for the Fast Break and doin' things in order beginning Monday. After talking with my neurologist when I got my shots on Thursday, we agreed that physical activity will help with my depression as well as with the weight. He gave me some good ideas on mixing things up and I so appreciate him taking the time. I had emailed him the day before my appointment with an update as to my neck so that he'd know where to apply the shots for the best results plus some questions about exercise and diet and all. I am so blessed to have the doctor I do. It's a 12 hour day driving up to Tacoma and back but 101% worth it. If I'm stuck with Dystonia then by golly I'm going to make the absolute best of it, pretty much as I've been doing for over twenty years. It will not affect my life and how I live it, just how I deal with it. Yay, me!
One of my biggest challenges is cooking for two. It's been just the two of us for about 16 years yet I still cook for four. Think it's about time to reduce that? Me, too! I'm going to be checking out some of the recipes on site and see what I can find that will help. I just know there will be some good ones.
It's going to be a football playoff weekend with a Duck bball game thrown in so I'll be football groggy by tomorrow night, but not too groggy for Big Love! Should be a good final season if you follow Big Love at all. =)
With great enthusiasm and joy, I'm on my way! I'll be checking in with as many of you as I can, following your blogs and seeing what's working for you. Thank you for being there and for sharing.
It may be corny but I love to say this: I am abundantly blessed and profoundly grateful and I have God to thank for it all. =)
