Holy Moly! You People are WONDERFUL!

Wednesday, January 12, 2011

I am just BLOWN away by the heartfelt outpouring of support everyone has shown for my wife! Everything went well with her surgery...not a single problem!

Talk about the power of prayer and positive thinking!

Recovery and healing has begun. This is likely one of the most painful surgeries a person can have and let me tell you my wife can wholeheartedly attest to THAT!

Keep sending those thoughts and prayers...she's been incredibly strong throughout this but the road ahead is likely to seem OH so long at times.

Shortly after my wife's surgery began I decided I had WAY too much nervous energy to sit around and twiddle my thumbs so I got out for a SUPER run / walk in this little town that was digging itself out from under last night's snow storm. 23 degrees and I started out with a coat, scarf and gloves...one by one I shed them all as I buzzed along channeling my heart strength to DW until I was carrying everything in my arm and running with only a sweater and jeans on. I met a lot of cheery people enjoying the snow day and shoveling their walks, coming back to the hospital with the REDDEST cheeks and flush with life and good will!

Thank you, thank you and THANK YOU again for ALL the power of your thoughts and prayers!!

I am so excited for the both of you! The power of prayer when more than one come together is incredible! I believe so much in prayer and I am so thankful for each and everyone that had a hand in her surgery! Let her know that SDPARTON was checking on her and that she has been on my mind! I will keep you all lifted up in my daily prayers!

So glad to hear everything went well! My husband had open heart surgery as a kid for a congenital heart defect -- has the scars to prove that! Hope the recovery goes well & quickly.

Great job on channeling that energy into a run rather than food!

The unthankful heart...discovers no mercies; but let the thankful heart sweep through the day and, as the magnet finds the iron, so it will find, in every hour, some heavenly blessings!
