Having a tired week - here are some tired updates, lol

Whew... I say as I get up after laying in my bed for an hour and a half watching The Biggest Loser on Hulu. Whew. I am tired.

I think that the full impact of having a new schedule and a more hectic work day has hit me this week. I haven't done any cardio (so much for my plans for the week laid out in my last blog!), but I have done one of my strength training sessions and my daily push-ups and crunches and stretching. This doesn't really worry me too much, as I soon hope to be back to my energetic self. I would go to the gym tonight, but the roads are all slushy with lots of fluffy fluffy snow. Yay for snow, nay to driving in it. Maybe I will put on my boots and go for a walk in the moonlight.

Also, a quick update on my first visit to my new doctor. I really liked her, but the office was really busy and I had to wait for 30 minutes to see her, and then another 30 minutes after seeing her to get my blood drawn. I don't mind waiting, I understand that things get busy - but it affected me. Sitting in the little examination room zapped all of my energy. But anyway... I told her how fatigued I have felt for the past couple of weeks, so she ordered some bloodwork to check my iron levels, my thyroid, and my cholesterol. She'll let me know in a few days how those turn out and what I can do if there are any issues. It is probably just my new schedule that is affecting my energy level, but I guess I'll see soon enough.

In other news... my dear sweet The Hal did not get the job he recently applied for. He is burned out in his current job, and when he found out that he didn't get this new job he was pretty disappointed. I feel bad, because he deserved the new position and it would have been so good for him. But he will be fine, and there will be other good things. Hopefully going away this weekend will help him get his mind off of this let-down.

Anyway... that is where I am at! Just one more workday (and boy, tomorrow is going to go by fast! I have a busy schedule.) until our trip to PA! Can't wait to wear my new dress, and see my college friends, and and and... just everything.

    And kudos for being so smart about your visit to the doc -- it is probably your job that's got you run down, but you can never be too careful. I hope everything comes back a-okay!

    I love the Biggest Loser. I think this season is my favorite but then again I think I say that every season. Any idea who the unknowns are??? I hope you start to feel better and maybe this weekend will be what you need. Tell Hal that everything happens for a reason and there is probably something better in store for him.

    That does sound like a long time to wait. You didn't have to fast for the cholesterol test? I was apparently suppose to have a cholesterol test or something at a doctor's appointment but they didn't tell me to fast. I almost didn't eat breakfast before going but knew I'd end up nomming the other patients if I didn't. Then I get there and they're all 'did you eat?' and I had to guilty fess up.

    I have no idea what the point of that story was other than to be a story.
