Trying new things ...

One thing that I typically find myself doing during my weight loss journey, is that I tend to stick with the same foods over and over. Yes, they are foods that I like and I change them as far as how I prepare them, but this time around I'm trying new things.

For example, I bought a funny little veggie called broccoflower. It's obviously a breed of cauliflower & broccoli, 2 of my favorite veggies. Now, I assume I prepare this the same way I prepare it's "brothers" so I'll be doing that tomorrow evening for my dinner. I am going to put this as one of my new goals for 2011 - Try New Things. TNT ... that's one of my new goals! I know that there are plenty of foods out there that I haven't tried due to my fear or just plain ol' stubbornness, but this time its different. I will embark on this new food tasting journey and perhaps come to find a new favorite food. I'm sure there will be some foods that I will never try again ... but for those awaiting my palate ... here I come! emoticon

This doesn't have to be only food related either. As I sit here pondering, I know that there are some workouts that I've wanted to try but haven't, like Zumba and Yoga, for example. Yes, yes ... I know these are wonderful, but I haven't tried them yet. I will add that to my TNT list! Overall I think that this new little goal of mine will serve me well. I'll have to make a list and refer back to it this time next year! I'm sure I'll be amazed!
