So, the other day when I wrote the blog there was a bit of information I left out. I was in the bridal show picking up my bridesmaid for my future brother in laws wedding. As I was in there I wanted to physically look at the dress I have been dreaming over and asking about time frames in ordering it because I am going to try to get as close to my goal by the end of February and go ahead and look at dresses. I want it to be an enjoyable time and I think that if I go now I would just be upset because I am not happy with how I look.
Anyhow, the girl giving me all the information told me that my dream dress in plus size would take 16 weeks... PLUS SIZE! What is she talking about I wear a size 12 in jeans... but an 18 in their dresses.. that is PLUS SIZE. I know I am bigger but I have NEVER referred to myself as plus size. I could have curled up in a ball and cried my eyes out.
So, when I go to try on dresses, one of my goals is to not have to buy a plus size dress. This is only two sizes down which should be a GREAT short term goal to achieve.
With this goal in mind, I got inspired today. You would be so proud!
Let me tell you about my day:
I work from home now, which is a GREAT thing for me because I no longer have an hour commute to work. But on the downside, it sometimes makes me very lazy! This morning I woke up almost as a new person! I got up and enjoyed one cup of coffee, that I used splenda instead of sugar but did use my indulgent vanilla creamer and had a yogurt parfait for breakfast. Then during my first break, I decided to go ahead and prepare my lunch and eat it, which I had a salad topped with shrimp carrots, radishes, sprouts, and italian dressing.
Then at 1:30 during my lunch I did a few arm and leg strength training exercises and rode on my stationary bide for 3 miles, then went and took a shower before I had to jump back on the phones. I felt so PRODUCTIVE and it makes me feel that my goals are so much closer than I think! Tonight will be a challenge because its family dinner night, the one night a week where our entire family comes together and eats dinner. We each bring a dish and a lot of times they aren't very healthy, like tonight, Taco night. So I have prepared a salad with chicken that I am going to be bringing so that I can hopefully resist the temptation of eating the fattening stuff! Maybe next week I will host a salad night where we can all bring toppings for salads! :)
What a proud day for me and this really motivates me to continue this way.... not just for the wedding but I can tell you that is good motivation! :)
