Ok, I'm really not a person who does crafts. Ever. So when I do manage to make something, I get REALLY excited.
Today I managed to make a bead counter to tie onto my water bottle so I (with my notoriously horrible memory for this kind of thing) can remember how many times I have drained and filled my water bottle.
My water bottle holds a little over two cups of water, so my basic goal is to drink four bottles of water each day. I read yesterday that I probably should think about aiming for more like six bottles, but I've decided that's optional right now. I made a bead counter with four blue beads (for the four bottles that I absolutely will drink) and two white beads (to track the two bottles that I might or might not get around to drinking.)
I made a tool that's very popular with people who do TAGteaching - a bead counter that they call a TAGulator. tagdance.net/tools.php
TAGulators are available for sale, but it's much easier and more gratifying to build your own. I learned how to make mine from this YouTube video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=
I can easily think of a few different ways to use it, but I'm sure that all y'all can think of stuff that I have never imagined. Suggestions?
