Small Changes...Big Difference

I know I have a long road ahead to get & remain healthy. As they say, I didn't get this way overnight and the weight won't come overnight. But, I'm happy with the progress so far.

I still haven't managed to get in a real workout, but I've made other changes in my life. I've started drinking more water daily * although I haven't made it to my 8 glasses yet emoticon*. I've also cut out/back on soda and sweet tea. When I go to the stores, I park farther away from the door. I give myself a reason to run up and down my household steps everyday. I think about the food choices I make each day. And when I'm done eating, I get up from the table and find something else to do because I might be tempted to have a second helping just because it's there.

I'm excited about the weight I have lost so far. I know once I incorporate exercise in my life, I will truly reap the benefits of living healthier.

    That is fantastic!!!!
    You are so right about things not happening overnight...but doesn't it seem that way? Like you look in the mirror one day and say 'Ok..I can deal with this" and then suddenly you can't fit into your jeans anymore?
    It isn't all about 'did you do your aerobics today'....I fully believe that just getting up, getting active and making little life changes the way to start your new healthy lifestyle.
    I know its all to easy to sit in your car and wait for someone to pull out of a close spot to the door, but the fact that you're making the conscious effort to put more into your routine says a lot about your dedication!!
