Reaching out

Friday, January 07, 2011

Well all I want is to reach out to othes who are on plateau.
I am not particularly upset because I loose weight so slowly.
I am going to up my walking and I might take a chance on a gym.
But having othes to talk about things when I am tempted by the things I should not have brought into my house would be really nice. I like the clothes I have and am sad that I will soon have to replace them with a smaller size...
DOES THAT SOUND LIKE CRAZY THINKING?
I NEED people who will tell me I am thinking crazy!
OK Sacramento and Roseville and Rocklin teams, help me get over my hump and mayabe I will be able to help you also.

I think we all go through phases in weight loss. That's ok. You know what you need to do to lose, refocus, think of what you can do different to kick up the workouts. I did my fair share over the holidays. I love California Family Fitness and there are tons of locations in the north area. I live near Sunrise and can think of 4 that are within a 10 min drive from my house. Madison is the favorite because it's small and it doesn't overwhelm you with too much equiptment. Don't fear the gym-it's my happy place! Plus building muscle helps to burn more calories faster.

    I'M SHOCKED!!!! YOU, HAVING DIFFICULTIES!!!!

LOL!
>You've been doing so great; I would take this plateau as an opportunity to reflect on how far you've come and I guess now would be a great time to reassess your wardrobe given your current weight. Keep the quality pieces and like Vivian says have alterations made so they fit the new you better.

I think going to the gym could also be a great change up to your routine; plus you could meet other folks that are also dealing w/a plateau as well.

I can't imagine that you've brought in too many food items into the house that are that bad!! If it really is junk food, just start keeping it off your grocery list and then sticking to your grocery list when you go out to by groceries. If its your favorite treat its your fav, so just plan for the indulgence once or twice a week.

For a gym I go to Roseville Sports Complex. It's not a pick up place and most of the population is over 40. To get over the hump try Dawn's pilates class. The toning works well!

You do need to let go of those clothes that have become too big (WAY TO GO!) but I understand. I have some night clothes that really need to be tossed but I love how comfy and roomy they have become!
